Written By Unknown on Senin, 12 Mei 2014 | 18.25

The father of two of the missing Nigerian schoolgirls has told Sky News he does not want them released in exchange for Boko Haram militants.

He told Sky News' Special Correspondent Alex Crawford the Nigerian government should ignore the militant group's ransom demand.

He warned that it would encourage Boko Haram to carry out more atrocities.

In a newly-released video Boko Haram's leader Abubakar Shekau has said the girls will not be released until Boko Haram prisoners are freed.

Police say 276 girls were abducted from a boarding school in the northeastern town of Chibok, in Borno state on April 14. Some managed to escape, but more than 200 are still missing.
